I was just wondering if any one owned or has heard JL's W7 subs because when i went to check out speakers that sub just looked like a Monster?

oh heres the deal... how a sub looks doesnt mean if you think it does then go buy audiobahn there really pretty

you have to decide do you want something that looks like a monster or is a monster?

the JL stuff is good for driving around going bump but if you have plans to be really loud dont expect this to do it.

 

I agree with the above, they well built, very nice subs, that get loud (to an SQ guy).....but if all you want the loudest dollar subwoofer, this isn't the one.

I like them and wouldn't hesitate to use them (after I won the lottery)....but if all you want is loud, there are less expensive subs out there, take the money you saved and put it towards amplification and install.

All this was an assumption on my part that you used the term "monster" and spl is more your thang than sq

 

Word if i was to buy subs id prob stick with Hertz and Audison becuase that company hasn't steered me wrong so far so

well they are, relatively speaking. You're into Hertz and Audison, so that puts you in the SQ category. Given that, the JL's are more than capable of getting plenty loud and sounding great doing it. Will they win an spl contest against DD, Atomic, TF, TREO, etc...no! and they're not designed to!

 

Thanks for the Adice dudes, but yah im just looking for personal stero i know i don't got the stero to compete but nice to know just basic info on all equipment.

yep and they do sound pretty good IMO
