Is there some sort of capacator that i can put in with the speaker to cut out all the low end signals? I hate having my deck at -5 bass

Buy an external crossover to run your mids on.

Probly won't help stop the deck's outputs from distorting tho...the bass will still be playing...the caps will just stop it from getting to the speakers.
Upgrade your deck to one with a high-pass filter, or go to an amp with the same thing.

Im trying to stay as factory as possible. The deck is staying in the car. Its an '05 suzuki aerio with a 6 disk in dash cd changer with volume control on the steering wheel. The amp is an MTX 6001 using the high pass. Everything in my car is "factory looking" and thats the way id like to keep it

just throw in a 100uf 100volt cap in line with the + lead and you'll be laughing. it worked good for me till i dynamated my doors and could turn the bass up again.

Yell at them until they stop reproducing bass or until you feint ...

If you feint, you won't care if they're reproducing bass or not because you'll have probably crashed into something and be in the hosptial when you awake ...

to me, that sounds like the same thing. technically speaking, the amp with a high pass would be doing the same thing you're talking about having the capacitor doing, so that would still be causing the same distortion from the deck's outputs (although i'm unsure as to why there would be actual distortion provided you are not pushing the HU into extreme conditions).

maybe i misread, but that's what i'm getting out of your post. like was said, the 100uf capacitor should do fine....

Well id like to keep the bass at "0" on my factory deck instead of -3 or -4 to keep distortion from happening from my main speakers.

All i want is the mid bass and trebble coming out of them, nothing else. All the lows will be for the subs only.
