so most of ya have read that my deck and amp got stolen. so i need to buy every thing again(still got my subs can't get rid of them) i'm going to go witthe same deck i had to start wit, but what kinda amp should i go wit for almost every day use, no comps or anything just listen to music in the car. i want sumtin that will power subs wit say 800 watts of out going music power(i think i said that right). my subs are only 450, but incase i upgrade. is there a particular reason you want to go with a sony head unit? i'd almost consider the theft a blessing more than a curse. the perfect chance to be rid of haggard *** gear in trade for some rad gear. i'd look into any of the other big names for gear, alpine, kenwood, pioneer, sony. for amp i'd goto your local shop and just check out what kinda goodies they have, play with them see what the sound like to you and just ask lotsa questions. dont buy for the bling factor. good luck man.

save your money then get a good amp i have a orion2500d i can sell u

 

haha i think that orion might have a litte too much power for his jensen subs. ive had both kenwood, and sony decks, and would agree that the kenwood or some of those others would be a better choice then the sony. poineer makes some nice lower end decks as well. let us know what price range you are looking at for the deck and amp though.

 

k well heres my prive range 800.00. this has to go towards a alarm, amp and deck. this is how i have summed it up 353.05 for my alarm. then what ever is left i sepnd on the deck and amp. any one got any ideas

 

all depends on features.. the more features the more u will shell out. I'd reccommend putting more money into the amp than the head unit.. go with jvc hu's for wicked sound and nice features for the price. For amps, concept audio makes a nice cheap amp. If you can find the cc- series anywhere pick it up... very very solid amp.

 

well all i want in a head unit is to play mp3s and to have that bass cotrol thing. i don't need any of those display screens like my last deck. o ya and it defintly needs a clock.

 

holy effin hell man, wtf kinda alarm are you spending 353 on and who is bending you over on that. we sell basic alarms for 199 installed man.
