I was thinking about it the other day,dont know what i really am anymore?

 

Whenever I think of SPL I think of dB competition. I think of big ugly boxes that get the job done at a choosen frequency. I think you would qualify as SQL, a mix of both, which is what I think most people really want when they say SPL. Just my $.02

 

Asking on an internet forum "What am I?" is a very loaded question.

Well....... maybe do a cupple of simple test wil reveal what its good at.

- see what db you obtain with a burp.

- put in a Iasca SQ disc and see how it.. stage, image, sound tonally and if it realistic or not, etc.

The one that does better is your answer......

 

You're neither... don't have the proper setup/equipment to be competitive in either arena at a serious level.

So.... you're a ground pounder.... nothing wrong with that.

I'd say that before you buy anything else... you need to decide what it is you want to do.

Trying to do both will usually end up in not being successful with either...

(and before anyone says it... yes, I know Fukuda did it a long time ago, but things have changed since then!)
