What amp do you reccomend for a JL W3 D4 12" (version 1)???

I want it to sound nice and clean...I want a good amp that will make this sub sound great. What are some brands I should look into, what matches up well with this sub?

I HAVE A CROSSFIRE BMF-1000D...this would give it 500rms do you think this is a good amp to use on this sub...or is this just more for SPL and might overpower this sub and or might make it not sound quite as good. Could I just turn down the gain a bit or does that not matter and it still gives your sub the 500rms?

Thanks in advance!

Dual 2= 4 ohm load in series. This amp will feed it almost 500 watts, just be careful with the gains, I would think.
