what amp??

hi im just wondering what amp if good for 2 alpine type s 12" dual 2 ohm.

An alpine mrp m500 http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/prodde...id=EN&dm=DEBUG

JBL amp(Is says its maximum wattage is 600) http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/prodde...&test_cookie=1



if any of you have any better option under 80amps =)

Between the two, I would suggest the Alpine. It has more power and a better track record. Personally, I think (for the money) the MRP is a more "solidly" built amp than the JBL.

thanks guys! i think i will go with the mrp.Also one more question.How much power does the mrp give out?is it more than 500watt rms?

Just as the printed specs report... 300 rms @ 4ohm, 500 rms @ 2ohm.

ok thanks.One more think will it provide enough power because the type s need 300rms each.Or will it still shake my car?

Personally, it should "power" them fine. Though... it's all a personal preference. To gain the best output with this combination, have the enclosure custom built for your vehicle and musical tastes. Many of those generic enclosures the bigbox stores sell do not work well for these drivers, and do not take into account your particular vehicle. Drop by one of the shops that sponsor this site, they will build you a proper enclosure to get the most "bang for the buck".
