Im thinking about getting the MTX MXA6001 amp its 600rms for 450cdn. WHat do u think about it? You guys think there's a better amp i can get at the price around T.O

what type of sub are you looking to push with it?

do you need the power @ 2 ohms?

probably a type r or jlw3(i just have to lower the gains)...what do u think of the jbl gto601.1?
its 699 at best buy...i dunno where else i can find that amp

personally, i wouldnt buy amps retail at stores like bestbuy/futureshop, i always buy used.

if its a requirement, try to find an employee and get their discount.

Thats great advice. Don't buy at a store where you will get full warrenty and a brand new product. Buy from someone who you have no idea what its gone through or where its been or even if its legit (ie stolen) or not. Good advice champ!

So fat whacker...would u get an amp at best buy or futureshop? cuz i love the service plan...it works well for me..i was able to upgrade from a pioneer 7600 to a pioneer p80mp...

which would u choose?

I would have absolutly no problem buying from them IF it was my only option or IF the price was a deffinte issue. I have been in the game long enough that I have enough connections with shops to get deals. So I don't really have the need to go to the big boxes.

I don't have any expreience with either amp, so I can't really help your decision there. Sorry.

Buying used/ eBay is a crap-shoot, you will eventually crap out … there may be some wins in between but the odds are NOT in your favor

Give me a good retail shop, good customer service, answers to my whiney *** questions, manufacturer warrantee, and installation as needed. Be nice and pay your bills and the ‘good deals’ may come your way from the dealer too.

Best Buy is discount product (Low $) and discount service (do they know more about toasters or car stereo). I don’t personally buy from BB since, as a customer, I hate going in a store and being ignored. BB is good for low ball pricing and that is important too I guess.
