I was wondering which one is better cuz I am going to be using Memphis Amps now, and I wanna know if the Mono D (Sub Amp)can run the subs at either 2 or 4 ohms, and I was wondering which was best cuz I used to run my subs at 1 ohm with my old amp (but Memphis doesnt support 1 ohm)...

I am running 2 12" Audiobahn Flame Q's Sub Specs Here and I was told they would work at 2-4-8 ohms...

Amp specs are:

Memphis16-MC1500D
RMS Power 4 ohm (Watts) 750 x 1
RMS Power 2 ohm (Watts) 1500 x 1
1 Ohm Power N\A
THD 4 ohm 0.75%
Frequency Response +/- 1 dB 10Hz-650Hz
Dimensions (in.) 6.5 x 2 x 19

Well I think it is fair to ask at this point what your goals in car audio are?

What are the amps capabilities?
(Ie what are the RMS ratings at 4ohm stereo, 2ohm stereo, 4ohm mono, and 2ohm mono)

Also, what are the subs? SVC or DVC? How many are you running? and what is the impedance of each coil?

I ask because I am curious how you can get an "either or" of 2 or 4 ohms

With the dual four ohm voice coils you could, series the voice coils for 8 ohm or paralel the vcs for two ohms depending on the amplifier you are using. Two ohms will give you a lesser resistance and more output.

This is each woofer if using two your amplifier will see half the resistance so beware as some mono blocks don't care for 1 ohm

well, by the looks of it, you have 2 dual 4 ohm subs. so the only way you can run them on a memphis 1500d is 4 ohms mono, and your subs would see approx 375w RMS each.
