I have 200 cash right now.

What should I get. I honestly need a deck, something with enough power to drive the entire system without an amp (sub not included, already powered) (but still have 3 RCA Outs incase I switch to Amp for the coaxials)

Its a start. Anyone know of any specials (like maybe don't pay for xxx days but with a downpayment (like my 200!).

Anything else, getting new components are pointless since my deck can't provide enough power to my speakers, so my amp is running EVERYTHING, so my bass is basically one third the power it could be.

I'll also take the: Its his birthday, we will give him mass discounts, sucker sales!

Why dont you wait until you get around 300/400 and buy a nice used head unit from someone on the board, thats what i did.... the guys on this forum are great, quik and hassle free transactions- my experiences anyway. But like i said check out the for sale section... might just find a good deal!

^^^Agreed. You would probably be much happier with a really nice deck that is a year or two old rather than a brand new lower-level deck. Besides, any deck you buy will be outdated in a few months and since most new innovations now have to do with styling rather than performance a year-old deck may suit you just fine. Plus, there is nothing nicer than cutting out the tax-man!
