ok here's the deal, i got an epicenter, eqx 2, and an esp-3, the eqx and the esp are grey, and the epicenter is white. i talked to a fellow at karz electronics in b.c and he told me he could get me a new grey cover for the epi for around 80 sum odd dollars to my door. then i decided to go down to a place called fm grafix, they do all kinds of stuff with vinyls, such as signs, decals, license plates all that stuff. they said they could make a decal printed on clear vinyl by scanning my epi and make a copy of it that they could apply on the cover. so i got to thinking, i should do that to all of them, since they are old, and do have some scuffs on them. for all three "labels" installed will cost the same as the new cover from b.c. +/- $2or3 dollars. now since i am a painter in a bodyshop, and have any color at my disposal for free, what color should i paint them, i want to go body color, but it might be to much. any ideas?

i do have tons of leftover paint, and i can even mix up anything i want, but i cant decide which way to go, should i match the truck, or the interior, or maybe a contrasting color, but what would be a good contrast? they will be visible in the install, so thats why i'm having this trouble lol.

Hey, that is EXACTLY what I was thinking of doing to some stuff that I have as well. I too have an Epi and ESP-3 (and a mint ESP-2) that needs some work on the covers as well as an Alpine 3401 eq. If you do that, let me know how it goes and I may give them some work too. I was thiking of chroming my stuff but that might make the clear vinyl more visible as it makes the surface orange-peely.

i thought of chroming too, but i dont have any other chrome inside my truck, i think i'm going to go with body color, its on the lighter side, plus my steering wheel is that color, and i'm going to paint a few other small things the same as well.the decals are ready to print, i just have to tell them what color to make the printing, and i'm prolly going to paint tomorrow. i'll post some pics when they're done.

I want ghost flames too....

Are those just Q-forms kicks?
How is the foot/leg room with them in there?

yeah those are q forms, they have really decent leg room, i am about 6'4" and have had no problems and i had them for 3 years now. plus i couldn't build them or have them built for the price i paid for them new. one day i might try to fab up some custom ones for ****es and giggles. gonna start on some door pods this week. unless some one knows where i can get some for 2 6.5's for my truck?

Where are you gonna mount the amps??

Also, about those Q-forms...

Mind if I asked what sort of pricing you got or get on them?

Just curious because although I got custom ones done for myold cutlass done for less than the Q-forms would have ended up costing me.

I am looking at perhaps testing a pair of Q-forms in my truck because they might take up less footroom than the customs would, overall...
(drunk friends always break stuff, as the saying goes)

back when i bought them the price of custom kicks were crazy. most places i went to in edmonton wanted from $600-$700 range. i picked up the q-forms for $120 brand new. i had to pull a few strings to get that price, but i had enough left over for a bunch of dynamat to deaden them (2 layers worth), plus fill them with some new comps, and still had some left over. then again, i havent checked in a while, but what do shops cahrge these days for a set of custom built ones?
