There are guides and manufacturer recomendations for wire gauge to amplifiers (USACi even has a guide in their rules)...

where is the guide for comp sets and woofers?

I had 8 gauge going from my JL 500/1 to my 10W7 and it worked fine!

For daily driving I'd use 8ga.

Ehh, I use 0 gauge for my 8 INCH mid range. It's good to squeeze every last drop out power out of the amp.

sounds like an idea... depending on where they're mounted it might cause to be a bit of a pain, especially if you had to run pos and neg into a door...
