What are Good speakers (6.5)? (BUDGET 400) GTA Location.

Looking for good 6.5 Speakers for the front of my car. Components or whatever you call them, that have tweater, and all that.

Currently I have:
OZ Audio 6.5 Components (With the little tweeters and that box thing i think its a cross over or whatever lol)
http://www.ozaudio.com/pages/V650S3.html
They are running off SPA 80.4 DB Drive 80x4 Watt Amp.

What should I go with? (400$ budget)
Located in Toronto.

PS: Sorry I dont know much about audio.

400 is a huge budget.
Go with CDT's for that kind of money...

since you already have a set of components, spend your money somewhere else and just have your current set tuned properly

I agree. The OZ is a good set up. A proper will do wonders. You could pick up a set of Focal V1

andrewkm, I don't think you have enough power in that front stage amp to notice a big gain in performance if you get a different component set. A nicer upgrade would be to get twice as powerful amp and a nicer set of components, otherwise, stay with your current set up. That is my advice. And if you think this upgrade would cost too much, think harder, cause you should spend as much as possible on your front stage to get the best sound possible. Cause now, if you spend $400 on a new set, you may not be happy enough with the final result. You need to get some power behind it, and get a quality amp. I think someone was selling an Audison(150 watts x 2) for like $200, which is a steal. Be advised, you will not find anything worth upgrading from your OZ's at Future Shop or Best Buy. They just don't carry high end car audio.

I would not consider any Focal set, unless it is a K2P with TN52 tweeter only. Amazing set, and blows the other Focals out of the water.

Those OZ's have a titanium tweeter, so you probably got used to bright sound, and if that the case, you will think soft dome tweeters on some of the sets are dull at first.

CDT makes very good components. I run them myself. But you need at least an HD set with 560i crossover, or your other option is to go with DRT-26 tweeter, and ES06 mid with at least a 560i crossover. Speak to user Ross on this forum for best anywhere CDT pricing, he will also help you with tips on how to set the front stage properly.

Someone on here was sellind a Ligatia set, and if you can fit them, this will probably be your last front stage upgrade, as I consider them in my top 5 component sets. The price was very very very good also. Don't even dare to lowball him lol.

In conclusion, those Legatia's on that Audison would be heaven!!!!!!!!!!

hit up some car shows, don't look at what brand they are running, listen carefully, then ask what they run.....not the most accurate way to determine what you like different install/application/etc.), but will definitely expose you to some brands you've never heard.
