what happens when u mix sizes of subs eg. jl 10 and 12 inch w3
It sounds bad. The different sizes cause cancellation, if they are playing the same frequencies.
However, if you have say a 15" sub, and 2 8" subs, you could lowpass the sub around 50hz, and bandpass the 8's from 50hz to up around the midbass frequencies.

We have a phoenix gold car, with 1 12 inch and three 10 inch, the 12 is 40hz and lower and the subs at at 60 +. so there is little cancellation. It pounds like crazy and hit's every things between 20 and 80 like nothing. The box design has to be correct or nothing good can come of this. DAVE at speaker city designed these boxes. the combination is excellent. but i wouldn't try this with refab boxes and/or a simple setup.
