What to put in my GTR

What to put in my GTR
Hey guys, last year I got a 2010 GTR.
I'm about ready to punt the crappy BOSE System except for the "headunit" which is impossible to eliminate.
I want to put a system in it that meets a few key criteria;
1. It must be light- I'm thing 2x 10's in fiberglass enclosures & 1 or 2 amps
2. It must appeal to primarily a younger crowd
3. It can consist of any of the following brands; Alpine, Morel and or Arc
Please give me some suggestions/pics/ideas as to what you guys think would be appropriate in this car.
My creativity is not what it used to be when I was 20...
Thanks in advance

Appeal to a younger crowd.... they are going to want bass response. That means two drivers and the box for them and of course the power to deliver the bass response they are expecting. Morel makes incredible speakers and handle copious amounts of power as well (handy in order to keep up with the bass response you are going to be expected to dish out).
If you are after respectable bass response that is something different. A single sub in the right box and the right power would suffice, as would 2 drivers in the right box. Really it is going to be all about the box. I would be looking to a ported box right away for the single or pair of drivers in order to squeeze as much output as possible from them. Digital Designs is recipe for getting loud. If you want good sound and have the budget to match, pick up the deal on the Eclipse 10" subs that I have now. They are a very high end sub that I picked up on clearout. Match it up with the right amps, sit back and enjoy the sound.
I would choose amps only once I knew for sure what speakers will be in the car and where they will be mounted. As I have not seen this car yet, I am not going to speculate until I do see it. Road trip to the GM dealer it seems is in my future. Have a look in the sponsor section below for some of the clearouts on Eclipse right now. You are going to need a good interface adaptor to go between the factory Blows headunit and the balance of the system.

Typically I am all about the quality, BUT the car is quite loud when it's running.
So, I think I'll have to settle with good & not outstanding sound. I will run some form of time alignment though, probably a BitOne.
The front doors can take a 6.5" so I was kind of thinking of a 2 way Morel Elate setup & 2 Ultimo 10's as they only weigh 13lbs each.
I listen to everything but realistically I only pump it with dance music & modern rock.

The car is a Nissan GTR... not a GM.
The stock 8" woofers are *****, and in a free air arrangement. I'll be ditching that & putting the subs in the rear left & right extremes of the trunk in fiberglass enclosures.

The Eclipse 10" definitely do not weigh 13 pounds each.... Morel for the subs and speakers + bit one = amazing potential for sound. Now to find some power for these subs and speakers.... are you going to do front stage only or add fill in the rear? Don't mind my typo... still morning for me and i have not had any AA serum yet (anti a$$hole serum also known as how to keep your employees safe...)

Here's a pic of a GTR... sorry if I sounded harsh correcting you on the GM thing.

Working on a GM right now.... that is what I was talking to my installer about at the same time... no worries. Indeed the bit one is the interface I would choose. Are you looking to run the Morel subs to their limits for power or just to get them to a good level?
If you are after full pull on the subs a 2000w rms mono amp + a 2 channel at 100w rms + would be the ticket. Pioneer Premiere comes to mind here. Or a 3 amp set up with dual mono amps (1 per sub) and another amp for the front end. If you end up going 3way on the front end, a 4 channel amp would then fit this bill ideally.
