What should I buy?

Hello,

This is where I stand, I currently own, 2 jeneson speakers, about 400-500 watts each, in box, with 600 watt xplod sony amp, connected to my Lexus GX470 jeep in my trunck.

I dont like the way it sounds, way to weak. I am looking for somthing that is very strong and the bass is extremly loud, somthing that when a hiphop or rap song plays it blows you away.

I am new to this whole car audio things, so please help me suggest.

This is where I stand, I am trying to get rid of my current system for about 250 canadian, when i do, I am up for adding another 250 for my next purchase, I have done some reasearch and think the Kicker bass seems good from the reviews of other customers:
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3863.html

thats the link to that, it seems to be a good price, its only one speaker but they say in reviews a guy installed it in his SUV (my car is SUV too) he was like in a hurricane driving.

I want somthing pounding hard... to any song.

You see what I want my budget is about 500 not more... I dono if I should get plexi glass or Carpet wood box... i heard plexis is better, so plesae post some links and advice of what to go with... I need BOX AMP AND SUBS... what should i do to make of what I want. Thank you for your time.

Maybe windstorm loud for that budget. I'll do some digging for what deals I have coming in on equipment to see if we can get you above windstorm loud for as close to your budget as possible. $500.00 is not much to work with I hate to say. I don't want to see you posting the same thing in 2 months because you bought the wrong stuff again. Send me a PM or add me to MSN, forbidden@telus.net and we can BS about a system design for you.

Is that $500 plus your $250 from your old system or $500 including the $250? I have some amps on sell off for some pretty cheap power options. And maybe Rob has a deal on subs. We will try our best.

But what about those subs, read the review of the link above I sent about the kicker subs, the guy said he got hurricane sound with them, and they only 180-190 dollars USD, thats not even 500 canadian. Hurricane sound, if u read all the reviews he says his vision was blurry due to the power of the subs.

Let me know more ideas please ,thanks.

I just downgraded my system for the winter from Alpine Type R 15" sub and infinty amp with 2 comp vr 12's and an MTX MXA6001 amp, its gets loud for only $350. I got the amp on sale from Future Shop only $199 the birthsheet says it does 760 rms.

I think that amp and the kicker sub u linked to would be great for hip hop/rap.

Ya those subs are great. However the local vendors here including myself will tell you its not the best idea to purchase from the US because it voids warranty. But also in this case you will get raped and pillaged on shipping due to size and weight. I would have to say that you would be into double the price after shipping, exchange, duties and brokerage. So your pretty much using up your budget. If you are open to options then some of us vendors can get you into some great products that don't blow the budget right out the window. So just wondering this budget of $500 is it including what you are selling your current setup for or is that on top of it for a total of $750?

That was a smoking deal on the amp except they don't have any.
