go with one 15" over a 10" or 12"

go with 4 - 8s...it will pound! Perfect for the Ramones, Iron Maiden or KISS...

i wouldnt go for 15, honeslty i think a decent 12 in a sealed will be great for u, and if wanting more u can add but i think that would be a great start

Look at power handeling, linear excursion, and the box required...

Designing the box is the difficult part.... chances are you want something with extension down to 20-25hz with a Q of .707 or greater which is considered critically damped with maximum extension... you need that in a box that will fit your car.... as a general rule of thumb higher Q is more accurate as far as damping goes... but at the loss of transient response....

The notion that a smaller sub is quicker or tighter or whatever is not true :stroke:

Single 10" in the proper box will give you good output..... more then enuf...... although it is vehicle/installation dependent. A good set of 6.5" components will give you the midbass you need as well. We recommend to our customers the DLS magnesium line-up for the hard rock/punk/metal sound because of the characteristics of that line and that they are LOUD !!
