alright, this is the Alpine amp acting up again, but the RCAs are loose. I took the amp apart and tightened up the actual rca block itself, and it worked fine for about two days, but now something has loosened up again. the block no longer wobbles left and right but it will wobble up and down. I am not sure if I just missed a second screw somewhere or if the actual RCA block itself is wearing out and getting all loosened up. the amp only gets a signal when the RCA is pushed all the way up.
could I just take the block out altogether, or take it apart? and then instead of having the fixed RCA female ends in the amp itself, I could have loose ends (like the ones that come off the back of a deck), and then just sauter them in there? would that demolish my SQ?
