keep it simple there's no need for the dash speakers .........
if 5" or 6.5" will fit in the doors do that a 5" or 6.5" component set will sound great powered off a 50 watt per channel amp (most decks make 50 watts per channel peak .......or about 20 watts rms per channel)
be sure to sound deaden the door and make sure the speaker is mounted solid and it will sound good ......even without a sub
oh rear fill is totally uneeded ......... use the cash you would normally spend for that towards a better set of front speakers

Ok.. I will do that then.
Now for the million dollar question.
what do I get for amp & components?
I know NOTHING about what is good and what isnt as far a names go etc.
I was looking at Alpine for mids & tweets... but now I hear that I would be paying to much for that brand.
What are some really high quality component sets, but still not stupidly expensive? I dont care if they cost a fair amount, but I dont want to spend like $450 CDN for 5-6" mids
Are seperate 3-way components a good option too? or should I just go with 2-way.. maybe there isnt even a difference from what I was asking before with the 4"... I have no idea
and what about amps? Im even less famaliar with what brands to look for with amps.
for amp powerIm guessing I should try and JUST exceed the amount of maximum RMS Wattage of the speakers.
Can I run the tweets off of the deck and maintain accurate sound reproduction ? or do I hook them up to the amp somehow?
thanks dudes.. much help

Although you may be going with something else, the JL audio TR 3.5's are beauties, they put out no midbass at all, best to cross them over at 120hz or higher, but the textile dome tweeter is very smooth. Nice little speaker, from my experience.
