Just make sure you give Dave the case of beer after the install and not before. Another bump for the compustar, have a look at the 2WAMA. (no starter in this version).

Uh Oh ...........this guys looking for the case of beer alarm install...........I smell burning !!

Get a pro to do it man .........you cant pay enough to avoid the grief that you may create or that "beer" installer will do.

If you do it yourself ........we may be reading a thread in a few months on helping you fix your sh*t.

I have two Aplines, one Clifford and one Viper.

The Alpines are very very old (8040 and 8080)and they still work AWESOME. They have a WHACK load of features.

The Clifford is a base model (XL500)and I have NEVER had an issue with it. Just very little features.

The Viper is a Remote Starter/Alarm Conbo(non-two/way Viper 540). This system has some added features that work out well for what I was looking for. Again, NEVER had an issue.

Two pionts to reveiw when buying anything for your car.
One:what do you want/need the product to do?
Two: ALWAYS have the system profesional installed.
