Thanks for the replys everyone,I wont be getting one untill after I swap frames in my car in the spring but the info is appreciated,too bad buddy wouldnt do the install for a case of beer,then we'd be talking,I dont like to pay for somone to do it so Ill end up learning how to to it and probably do my own install,we'll see when the time comes

Uh Oh ...........this guys looking for the case of beer alarm install...........I smell burning !!
Get a pro to do it man .........you cant pay enough to avoid the grief that you may create or that "beer" installer will do.
If you do it yourself ........we may be reading a thread in a few months on helping you fix your sh*t.

Im sure Ill be fine I just found the wiring diagram for the car,It aint that hard to tap into that,when it happens Ill find this topic and give it a bump,unless I get one of those free install with purchase deals

im gettin thirsty, i will install an alarm with the features you mentioned for 342.00 tax inc installed, or 342/20=17 cases of miller genuine draft, botttles preferably. all kidding aside, i can do the compustar 1wama for 340 tax inc installed with the features youve mentioned

I have two Aplines, one Clifford and one Viper.
The Alpines are very very old (8040 and 8080)and they still work AWESOME. They have a WHACK load of features.
The Clifford is a base model (XL500)and I have NEVER had an issue with it. Just very little features.
The Viper is a Remote Starter/Alarm Conbo(non-two/way Viper 540). This system has some added features that work out well for what I was looking for. Again, NEVER had an issue.
Two pionts to reveiw when buying anything for your car.
One:what do you want/need the product to do?
Two: ALWAYS have the system profesional installed.
