Vintage may get good bucks but is Sansui really quality vintage gear?

$50 for an older stereo reciever IMO.

well its in the eye of the beholder, these lots of people out there who are sansui junkies, they seem to love the stuff..

as far as vintage I don't think the receiver haunz is selling is vintage as it came with a remote at one time.

I've got an Alpine 7390 cassette deck with all the goodies, what's that worth? I think this was the matching deck to the 7909 back in the day. very good condition.

which I think makes it worth MORE... lol..
(I can get a universal remote that will work with it for $20)

It looks fairly solid.. both channels had steady voltage of 16V driven with sine down to 2ohm... I bet it could drive 4 3ohm coils without a hickup...

Its rated for 360watts, so Ill figure it can at least put that out dynamically... possibly more...

Inside, its nothing really special.. but not a piece of #### either...

Ive played with a few vintage models like I was saying... eh, I wouldnt pay $150 + for one !!!
unless it was the 900watt monster I saw on ebay ($450+ )

If you want to see some amazing "vintage" home audio goodies, check out the "Hock Shop" on Glendale Ave. in St. Catharines across from the Pen Centre. The guy who owns it is really into the old Marantz stereo receivers, and has around 6 or so in the store at most times. The flagship of the line is the M2500, beautiful looking and puts out 250RMS X 2 @8 ohms....
I hadn't seen one of them in years before I wandered in the store one day looking for car goodies. If you're in the area, it's worth a stop...

Oh, and he only wants $2,500 for it....
