a local store in scarborough near my cousin is selling 0 gauge for $10.00 a foot, that seem expensive to me. I'm doing the big 3 in a ford explorer so i only need a few small peices. Any shop around have a spool they can sell lenghts of 0 gauge from? preferably kicker hyperflex

 

if your looking for wire made by a speaker sound manufacturer you will be paying top dollar. if your looking for 0 guage then try princess auto or a welding shop. i assure you that the copper on the inside conducts electrcity the exact same way the wire made by monster or kicker.

Knukonceptz sells their 1/0 KLMX wire (copper coated aluminum) for $1.75 a foot, I've got 8 runs of it and it seems to work just fine for me.

also i have some for sale i have two lengths of kicker hyperflex 1/0 one is 5'4" the other is 4'9" PERFECT FOR BIG 3!!!!!!!!!!!

 

ebay, you can get it as low as 1.50 per foot. yeah or welding cable. i got all mine from lordco. 3/0 for 4 dollers a foot. but that was awhile ago prices may have gone up.

how good is copper coated alum wire??
i always thought alum was a no-no. it has to be bigger also to carry the same current right?

 

aluminum isnt as good as copper as a conductor, however thats why when you get 1/0 from people like knuconcepts there 1/0 is the ize of 2/0...
You just need more aluminum to equal copper.
