why did you go with your size of ports (3" 4" 5" ) ?

also why did you go with 1 or 2 ports ?

also why did you set your hz at and why that #hz?

I went with 3 3" vents. Why? Cuz that was the best balance of vent area to vent length for me. Plus I only had the physical area for 3 3"diameter vents.

Remember too that you have to keep a minimum vent area in mind which is determined by your woofer(s)

Post what gear you have and someone will recommend vent area, length, and tuning, and if they are nice they will explain why.

30L box tuned at 40HZ port length should be 9" with a 3" diameter port
40L box tuned at 36HZ port length should be 8" with a 3" diameter port

if i go 3 x 3"ports at 3" can i do it in a 30lbox
i would like to go lower then 40hz. something like 33hzs

Use one 3.5" at 15" long, and tune to 37 if the box is only 30L. Power handling sucks below 30 HZ....It'll Pfluck.
That sub looks good in a 60L (net) box, tuned to 30Hz. You could go with a 4"port 15" long.

^ Where are you buying 3.5" pipe? I have not seen it in Western Canada and I used to do plumbing estimation for a mechanical contractor [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]
