ooo 800W ~ 80amps o.0
i did not know that

see the problem is that before when (i had 1 farad cap + 600Wsub amp + 200Wspeaker amp) my alt died after about a year of my stereo being installed.
if i didnt run the cap i dont know if same problem would have happened or not but that is why i was thinking of a new alt.

you guys think its safe to run 800W stereo with 130amps alt without a cap?
i get around 13.7V at idle

I have near 2,000 w rms, but probably only run it around 1500, with 140 amp alt. I haven't blown my 100 amp main fuse yet, but i got a spare just in case.

I have been running 1000 watts rms off the every same alternator that you have for 5 years, just last fall I have replaced the brushes since they were getting low.

In my other car yet the same alternator as yours again that has been boosted from 130A -200A installed it and popped the regulator in the first month, only because I was cheap and did not upgrade to the HD regulator. Replaced that and it's been happy with 4000 watts rms and two yellow tops for two years now.
