where can i find an amplifier bench tester

im looking to buy a bench tester to test amps and decks,,,,i guess you could call it a 12v power source that plugs into the wall,,,,(im not sure of the actual name of what im trying to describe),,,,,anybody know where i can buy such a thing,,,or what they r called so i can find it on ebay?

12 volt power supply, or lab power supply.

Keep in mind, a power supply big enough to run any halfway powerful amp will cost a LOT.

You can use old computer power supplies to run a deck though.

12 volt power supplys do cost a lot depnding on what size of amp you are going to test. if its just like a 20 amp amp what i have used in the past is a old power supply from a vw van i got from a local auto wrecker for cheap. what works best for bigger ones and way cheaper is a old car battery even a recondetioned one and a small batter charger

Go to any electronics parts store and ask for a 13.8V bench power supply.
