Where can i get my sub fixed??
#11
Alright i think i will try it myself then. U guys convinced me to. So now i know what i need but how do i do it.
The cone is right now if off the spider and access is a little hard but i dont want to take the cone off.
do i just push down on the cone till it touches the spider, then apply the glue and wait for it to dry??
And now the sub with the torn surround.
i will try and get the dimensions. but will it be the same strength as what it originally had.
This sub is a 15" cmp.
Thanks. for all the replies.

You should be able to see on the neck of the cone where the spider was attached. If not, press the cone to the spider (if it does not naturally touch, it should though)and trace a line onto the cone where the spider touches it.
Now push the cone away so the neck is separated from the spider, run a bead of glue just below the line so it will contact the spider well and then press the cone back into the spider. IMO forget the accellerator. I'd rather let it sit for a day then potentially compromise the strength of the joint. Again, the cone should rest against the spider naturally anyway so you should not have to weight the cone at all while the glue dries.
