I"m with Lemonlime on this one.

Although touching possibly live 4awg wire to a ground isn't smart at all.

I always run my ground wire right back to the battery ........... I know it's more wire, it's just something I like doing [img]smile.gif[/img]

just dangle the wire out the car door and make sure the strands hit the ground as u drive down the road and you should be fine.

I always go to the battery......"ALWAYS"

and I have never had any noise issues

And I've always went to a single bare-metal spot on frame or body to ground everything except the deck to. Never any noise either. [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]

Jamie has the right answer.. I've been repeating this over and over again for years, and nobody wants to believe me...

Seems as though some friends of mine in Florida have some proof that running a ground directly to the battery is the only way to go, I'll get the information, write it up and we'll print it in an upcoming issue, AGAIN...

that's what i've been toldworks best! always to battery! although i must say that 1 gauge to the back then back to the front can get expensive?? but it's worth it! give it a try! goodluck
