Where to get butyl rope in Canada.

Exactly like this or something very similar to this stuff.

I've checked all hardware stores, and shipping from this site is like $30 to Canada. Spoke with the owner and would only ship using a USPS flat rate box. =[

I ordered from here before, but running out! and don't want to pay the excessive shipping fees.

Norton makes a butyl tape that is used in the automotive body refinish industry.
I work for Napa auto parts/Cmax and we have access to it, two different sizes.
I'm not sure how it holds up to Dons product, but for the $30 shipping alone you could get two rolls.

Plumbing suppliers, Home Depot, Rona, all sell Plumber's Putty (sometimes called oakum) either in a roll or in a tub that you can roll out into a strip.

I'll stop by at Napa and see what's available, thanks.

Yeah, I saw the plumbers putty at the hardware stores.

I really need the color to be black, and for the product to not harden. I really just need butyl rope.

Plumbers putty doesn't harden, but it isn't black either. We use this stuff but get it from an industry wholesaler: 3M Strip Caulk

Good luck.

The 3M strip caulk is good, but I find the norton product to be superior in our industry (Automotive refinishing) the norton part # is 82740 it's 5/16 butyl tape. Most napa's won't stock it but can order it from our dc's just go in and ask for line code:NOR and part#82740.

Lymen

p.s the 3m product is great for sealing sunroofs but is a bitch to work with for clean up.
