where would you go to get a dqxs

alpine vs. audio control
well i'm looking at the alpine and how do you control it?
Price looks like a big factor here.
Alpine seams to be more expensive.
Canadian 829.00 geez plus you need the controller.
I might go for the audio control unless someone can convince me otherwise.

I may be incorrect here but I was under the impression a DQXS ran in the $1500 range. Theres a few people on here that have had them like goalie_35. Shouldn't be hard finding a dealer who carries AC. BoyzAudio does too I believe as does a somewhat-newer shop in the Port Kells area on 96th Ave.
The 701 comes without a controller because you can buy an outboard controller or control it through some of Alpines head units. The H700 came with the controller.
Found this ad from BoyzAudio:
Audiocontrol DQS
Six Input and Output Channels, Thirty Graphic Equalization Controls per Channel, Two Fully Adjustable Parametric Equalization Controls per Channel, 8 User-Programmable Memories, Built in Linedriver, Demo Model, 1 YR warranty
Retail $1100, Now $799
So that's just the DQS, no X. Retail is 1100. So I imagine my 1500 estimate of the DQXS is somewhere accurate. So lets say the H701 with the outboard controller is somewhere around 1000 for a place willing to cut a deal. It would still be less, or the same at most, as a discounted DQXS and the 701 still has more features. There has been new H700's sold for as little as $650 or so.

if you end up getting the DQXS and the DDC to control it, and if you find you don't use the pocket that comes with the DDC PLEASE let me know, i'm after one cuz i used mine in a custom install and then sold the car
i never really got a chance to use my DQSX, i only had it around a month before i ripped everything out for trade in, but what use i did get left me with a nice impression on the piece...it will be going into the 'stang for sure when time allows for the new project!!!
