If the image, name or logo is copyrighted then legally you need to permison to reproduce it.

No, you don't...
Ever been to the library and photocopied something ?
Now if you use that photocopy and sell it or use it as a teaching aid... then that is copyright infringment...
I may be wrong, but Iam fairly certain that Iam not....

You can photocopy up to a certain % of it before it is considered copyright infringement. Like %10 or %20 I believe.
You are not legally allowed to copy the entire book, no matter what you are using it for. (I used to work in a library)

Regardless T-Shirts are a great form of advertising / the right logo / color theme will make or break it.. Any Forum can use some new members.. then you just weed out the 'bad apples'.
Once i get back from Shannonville Motorsport I will create/post some suggestions of logos.
Seeing this thread is kinda lengthy I'll start a new thread just for submissions..

I don't like kicking dead horses... but I suggest anyone really wondering about this look up the information for themselves instead of listening to some dippy librarian...
http://laws.justice.gc.ca/en/C-42/
Its funny because the whole music download thing in canada was equated to photocopying a book for personal or non-profit use by a federal judge... which is why its still legal...
PS is the CCA logo even REALLY copywritten ?
I don't see the symbol for a copywritten logo anywhere... And I know you can't copyright the web adress... so...

Selling at cost is non profit and is usually OK... this area of the law is a little gray and it would have to go to a judge...
selling at a profit with your own logo and the web address is also OK..
Am I the only one who took law in HS or has a buddy who is a lawyer ... ?

Congrats on posting a link to the ENTIRE copyright law. Care to point out the part that specifies you can use someone else's logo for your own purposes?
Btw, I never said I was a librarian. I said I worked in a library.
You seriously need to grow up though if you think that calling someone "dippy" makes you right.
