the only thing is the judges cant be at the multiple locations , so moe would have to get differnt judges to do differt locations but im sure the competitors would not have a problem with that

That's where the money issues come in. For the biggest events only (Canadian Finals, North American Finals, etc) the idea would be to have the same judges fly to two coasts.

I think it worked well for Canada Finals this past summer.
Then every year, start at alternating coasts to help relieve selection bias.

Everyone is trying to make a few dollars, and then some internet company or some yahoo gives the product away...The race to zero...who can give it away the fastest...and it is not just in car audio. We have all been hoodwinked into thinking we need more stuff, and the die hard hobbiest and card traders, that built their respective companies are forced to give it away!!! I know sell the service, but we are not servicing rocket scienctist, and therefore in the effort to save even more money we do it ourselves. Can you tell I've had a bad day, customer from hell that wastes my time and never buys from me??? Cheaper on the internet he tells me!!
Bill@wa,
We all have bad days, and some of us in the customer service industries like sales (and even Medicine) experience bad customers from time to time.
If I may give advice, stick to your guns bro! Keep up with great customer service despite all the fly-by-night internet fu**ers and shitty customers that dont buy... they will come and go.
You will have quality customers amongst all the , and those individuals will ultimately define the word loyalty to you.
If the "@wa" means Washington State, I'll make sure i put my money where my mouth is and I will bring you some business, as long as you keep up great C/S, I'll keep coming back.
There aren't as many dedicated car audio shops these days, and even fewer ones that truly care about their customers.
My line of work is heavily dependent on word of mouth and repeat business is what makes me successful.

I've only been to 3 shows in my life, and I'm looking forward to going to the US and seeing how they do things down there!

Props to Kieth (and Luke) for putting on the shows I've attended this summer.
I am at least some form of evidence that car audio is not completely dead, as I just started competition a few months ago.
I think if quality shops step up and keep a good rhythm going with these shows, and the attendees such as myself keep doing our part by ing the word and getting our friends, families into it, and the judging maintains a level of consistency...there should be a resurgence of interested customers.

Wow, I've heard of Streamline and I think I met some of the competitors that purchase from (or work) there at West Finals-- good attitudes. Looking forward to a lot of great shows in BC/Pacific NW coming up!!!
Definitely going to hit up Okanagan if they put on some shows too!

I have to say a couple things about you Luke.
I see that you post a lot and are active on this site, i saw a thread where u and some others were slugging it out pretty good with some childish crap...i dont really know what any of it was about, don't care really.

BUT...I'll say this, the show that you had in Victoria was really fun, my wife and daughter and I made a whole weekend of it. We came with a whole group of friends, I dont know if u recall they were among 2 other cars competing also. The judging was a top class experienced IASCA judge who has tremendous seat time and 3X event experience.
You gave out tons of swag (I didnt win any of it! Lol!) and you put forth a great effort and had nice trophies too!

Luke, I dont know you and you are not my friend, I haven't bought from you, but listen bro...for a newcomer like me to see what you did and put on the show you did.

You are walking the walk man.

Good for you. I look forward to seeing this region grow in terms of shows and competitors.
By the way Luke, there's nothing wrong with making some money! As long as you aren't hurting anyone and even better if you are helping people out! Lol!
