wierd deck problem.

sometimes when i turn my deck up really loud my speakers start cutting out and then they reset themselves and go back on but 2 seconds later they shut off again, my sub remains on and pounding, only the speakers cut out.
it works fine with regular use, but when i crank it it starts ****ing up, whats goin on?

You used the factory harness I assume, for power, ground, etc? I wonder if maybe the ground is not good enough, or maybe the internal amp is drawing too much current, getting a voltage drop, and going into protection mode briefly?

i didnt install the deck, it was installed professionally, but i kn ow that it has a direct fused wire for power, straight to the battery. and he used the factory ground so that should be good, no?

Hmmm. Sounds ok, not too sure. If there is any doubt you can always run a ground of your own elsewhere. I am sure someone else on here will have two cents to chip in on this, I wonder if you can pull the deck, but leave it hooked up, and meter the power wire coming into it to see if it is getting a big voltage drop at full volume. You are always going to be better off running a separate amp in my experience, rather than going with deck power. Always.

of course an amp would be better, but its not quite in the budget right now, i will eventually amp all my speakers tho.
i will try to run a new ground and see if that works.
but any other ideas from anyone would be greatly appreciated,.
