no u are not required to have fuses for spl. fuses restrict the ammount of current u get to your amps thus huring your spl score.

So we know that there is no concern or care about burning down these 'street SPL' vehicles by having no fuses. What about securing these amps and boxes that just float and slide around the back of your vehicles? No one cares about that either? Maybe it will take an amp or two flying into someones skull.
