hey, I'm just wondering how exactly I could wire a 5 channel amp to power the 4 cabin speakers and a sub in a for taurus sedan. I have the line converter already, really im just confused on how to power the front speakers with it. Actually im not exactly sure how to do the rear speakers either. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

best answer I can give you, is that if you really dont know. Posting a DIY here for you would make for a potentially dangrous ford taurus on the streets. Please take it to the pros. I'm all for DIY if you have the background knowledge to be able to do something safely. Not if you are inexpereinced it can cost you a fortune and possibly a fire.

Its not like I have NO idea what im doing. I've built pro audio systems in the past so I have some experience with parallel technology. Im just not sure how to get the speaker cable from the front door to the amp which is in my trunk. Also, if I got with sound processor (because Im not able to easily install an aftermarket head unit) where do I put it? if i put it the truck I have to run the cable from the front to the back to the front again. and If I put it in the front I would have to run RCA cables from the front to the back?
If you still think I have a better chance of building a bomb than a car audio system, please dont reply.... but please reply, the pros where I live cost an arm and a Leg, and I already spent both of those on the equipment...

Run the power wires down one side of the car, and any RCA, or wires carrying an audio signal down the other. Keep them apart.

You will have to remove trim panels and maybe lift the carpet to hide your wires.

You need a power wire with an inline fuse from your battery to the amplifier. Then you need to ground the amplifier properly.

There are a LOT of posts on this so I would use the search function.

In rare cases, on some cars, it is possible to disable air bags and whatnot by fooling with the stereo, also if you really want to scare yourself, go do a search on car batteries and power cables going red hot almost instantly. People dont realize just how much energy is really stored in a 12v automotive battery. The amps can get pretty crazy very fast when things go wrong.

We actually used to melt coat hangers in shop class in gr 9 with car batteries.
