Wiring Question.

Quite simple questions i assume for you guys to answer.

As for the big 3, do i need to remove the original ground and power from the battery or can i just double both those up. (ex. 2 powers to the alt / 2 grounds to the frame)

secondly, where abouts should my 2 anl fuses be placed. ( 200A , 300A)

and lastly where abouts should i be leaving slack and such and is it best to route your power line from the trunk to the front of the vehicle or from the front of the vehicle to the trunk.

can my rcas, and power run down the same side of the car?

Best placement for me to run the wire ?

Just wanna know if theres any tricks to it.

Thanks,

Bunzy.

1. Not usually

2. At the battery

3. I always start at the battery and go to the trunk

4. Most people avoid it but I've never seen it cause a problem

5. The best is probably with the RCAs down the middle, power on the battery side, and speaker wire down both sides

6. I use my Klein crimpers but side cutters work or even a hacksaw

I second this, Klein makes excellent tools for Electrical.

300A fuse is in line with the run from front to rear batt. the 200A fuse is inline from rear batt to subwoofer amp

I've found a hacksaw works wonders on 1/0, 2/0 wire.

300A fuse inline with front to rear batt to allow maximum current/amperage flow during charging. (wants to fuse for safety reasons)

200A fuse inline with the subwoofer amp to rear batt. (wants to fuse for safety reasons)

there is nothing wrong with how this system will be fused at all.
