After 15 years of lusting after them, I finally have an Alpine 3545 amplifier in my possession
I bought it locally from another forum in their used audio section. I don't even go by that section that often so when I saw it, and the price, I was like

It works and isn't in very bad condition at all. The shroud needs a repaint as a very heavy coat of very poorly applied black paint was put on at some point in the past and was chipping off. I have it sanded down mostly to the bare aluminum. A couple of small scratches in the metal but a little putty will fill that. Then I will repaint it the original satin black. The rear cover is missing too but no biggee. Here are pics of it just after bringing it home:

1988 - 1989 era. 250w x 2. Big nasty beast, too bad Alpine never made amps like that one anymore. I'm trying to track down the guy I sold my 3558 to, I know I can find it, it is another one to add to the collection of nice amps.

^ No, once it's got a new coat of paint, she'll look damn near new.
Dave, you put 3558s in the Beaumont though right? Nice amp that 3558. PERFECT compliment to the 3545 considering they use the same casing and all. I knew of one in Chilliwack too but has since been resold and is somewhere out there
They made these from late 80s to early 90s I believe. It's got a 4 digit serial number on the side of it of which this one is numbered 0741. It does 250x2 RMS at 4 ohms, 350x2 at 2 ohms and 700x1 at 4 ohms. I also have a 3539 which was the 150x2 amp and in the sexier heatsink than the later 3544 that replaced it. For 'rare' amps I also have a Rockford Power 300 from around 1988 or earlier I guess.
