I am wanting to see some results on how well it performs, good application is a nice quality but I want to hear how well it deadens.

Yah, I have seen the videos....i just wanna see someone make a video of a car before its deadened and after. Even just an opinion on if it made that much of a difference. Have you tried lining in the inside or outside of a box with the stuff and seeing if it made a difference in the sound of the sub?

The best part about this is they haven't even done any advertising yet, but there is already tons of interest and sales of the product.

I know exactly who to nail for it Mr. Smartass. I have had conversations with them in the past but this crap keeps coming up. Over and Over and Over. I am starting to get sick of it.
People knock me down for being the big hardass on the board cus I shutdown threads or om people about advertising. So here is a scenerio for ya.
You run a website who's main sponsor is Sears. Sears basically backs the whole site and keeps it running out of its own expense. Would you let The Bay come on to it and spam their merchandise with out getting upset?
Tinted right about now, I don't care to play the games as far as who's on first and whats on second. Critisize me all you want, but when it comes down to it I run this board in the same manner for everybody.

So it is not permitted to offer a review of a product for fear that the owner/creator of that product will say something positive about it?
Maybe i'm just confused.. but thats what it seems like to me..
I always like reviews no matter who comments on them..

I personally have not seen any advertising on behalf of x-terminator or the owners. People post thier opinions on it or ask questions and, and the manufacturers of the product replies it seems like it is deemed as advertising. I've seen some more posts that are blatlantly advertising yet nothing is said. I am not trying to stir the pot but then again a while ago I asked for a definition of advertising so we as posters can know what to steer away from, and you as moderators all know what is considered it as well. I do not consider myself to advertise for anyone (although a few people beleive i do.) I support any and all products which I run or have seen the performance of and beleive in. This is why we need a clear cut definition of advertising as I know some of my posts are taken as advertising and some are not, when the only different is which products are being talked about.
This forum has been a blessing to Canadian car audio, but lately it seems like anything that is said has caused contraversy when it really isnt contraversial, and it's starting to effect CCA. Everyone has seen the number of useful posts are down and new members are down. I myself try to help anyone out the best I can to thier questions, whether it be install related or equipment related. But when myself or anyone else is accused of advertising by replying on someone's post about a product, that is a little ridiculous and it hurts the forum and the whole industry.
I know the plain response to this would be pretty much "This is our board, we will run it the way we choose to, if you dont like it, dont post". But at the same time I have seen how good this forum has been in the past, and I do feel that there is great potential in the future for it. I just hope all this can get cleared up and noone has any hard feelings. I hope noone takes this post out of context and realizes that I am only trying to help the industry in general and canadian car audio. This is what I try to do; HELP. Most people that have met me can vouch for this as well. Let's all try to help and support this industry as we are all in some way apart of it; either as manufacturers, employees, competitors, judges, etc, or just plain audiophiles.
Chris.
