Well, when someone agrees to send a product via COD, then never sends it or responds to PMs, it is a pretty good indication they are not legit.

However I really wasn't serious on the scammer part, just saw the thread and put in my .02.

Sorry to hear about the accident Xpensive1. If you still want to sell me the sub, ship it out whenever you are feeling better.
