I recently bought the 1001d used off of the forum. I've installed it in my Golf and it is powering a Kicker S12L7 in a 1.25 Cubic sealed box. I've absolutely loved the amp and can say nothing bad about it. It produces a clean signal at the 2 Ohms I'm running it at and has never gone into 'protection shut down' during long hours of pounding bass.

The installer who put the amp in was unoptimistic about supplying the amp with the limited power of the Golf's alternator. Also, I used the suggested 0 gauge wire and it took the whole day for the installer to run it through my small car. The only suggestion I might have is to make sure you're willing to accomodate the amp's power guidelines. Personally I think that my car handles the the amp's hunger very well but I'm sure I'd get a little more out of the 1001d if I had it hooked up to a heavy-duty alternator.

Any more questions feel free to send me an email.

Dale

Xtant = SQ

MMAT = SPL

What do you prefer

I would pick the Xtant, since it has good SQ and gets loud aswell

how well would the Xtant power 2 L7 15's?

my setup is for daily driving so i think i just might go with the xtant

also, which would have the best resale value?

I think it is safe to say that both amps have a good resale value, I myself would go for the Xtant, but that is only my opinon.

Im not exactly sure if this amp will load down to 1-ohm like the MMats but at 4-ohms mono im pretty sure it will run the L7's no problem, and you are correct the resale for the Xtant is more better since there are more people who dont know about car audio then people who do and those people will settle for the looks of the amp.

I believe the amp will put out 1000 watts RMS in a 1-ohm load, then there is no problem running the L7's

Hey c'mon any Xtant amp looks better than the MMats.
