1 ohm load

Can somebody please explain to me how to get my amp down to a 1 ohm load. It says that my amp will push 1500 watts with a one ohm load. I want to try it and see how much of a difference it will make

depends what you have for subs if the amp can be wired to one ohm. you have to wire your subs to one ohm (if possible) for the amp to run at one ohm...

what are you running for subs (what resistances ie 4 ohm 2 ohm? amount of voice coils?...)

i think the answer is dual 2 ohms sub , or if u run 2 dual 4 ohms subs together will give u 1 ohm

1 ohm

The subs are a dual 2 ohm voice coils. They are the Alpine type R's. I still have to pick them up. My amp is a D class MMATS

Your choice of configurations for dual 2 subs are 0.5 ohm or 2 ohm. See if you can pick up a pair of dual 4 ohm instead.

Check the links from this web page:

you also have to take into careful consideration that music is dynamic and that you might not be at 1 ohm anyways.....you need to find the impedance and see if the note that your car...or box is playing at....is set to where the woofers will be at thier lowest impedance while playing.....if that is 1 ohm then and only then will you get your 1500 watts. if it is around 30ohms or 40 ohms then youll be feeding it about 50 watts.

if this statement eludes you....take it into an spl shop to help you.....if you are playing music thru it and dont compete.....then no worries....itll be fine....
