1 SUB 1200w or 2 SUBS 600w/each
Im having a big problem understanding the differences between having 2 subwoofers at 600watts each versus having one subwoofer at 1200watts.
Im planning on buying either 2 Sundown SA-12's or 1 X-12. Im starting to lean towards the X-12 but I really dont know what to choose. Im looking for SPL but at the same time I want to choose the least amount of power for the highest SPL setup. So I assumed that 1 Subwoofer is easier to drive than 2.
Thank You

depending on vehicle 2 subs usually outperform a single sub setup on the mic , I would recomend 2 12s over 1 if the budget allows you to do so , also the performance of your stereo will depend alot on your impedance , and weather you have the correct box

No replacement for displacement.
This quote is true for engines or motors
And subs are motors ,but stroke and surface area play the main part.
2 subs in optimal air space with optimal power Wiill almost always beat 1 unless the 1 can move more volume of air and more power to compress more air
