151.4dB in a hyundai accent
A little update
the ports gots a little show in shine finish; they got smoothed and painted for a fairly smooth and slick surface. Another competitor happened to have very similary sized enclosures in a CRX and was using four 4" aeroports per box (one box per sub) so very similar port area and lenght. We decided to try them on his boxes and will it lowered the tuning frequency a few hz. Immediate gain of 0.7dB was noticed. We also swapped subs and results were similar using the T4's or custom RE subs. By the end of the night, the CRX was hitting a consistent 158.X dB on the SPL-180 mic with a calibrated AC RTA. The next day, I was sitting in the car when it hit 154.7dB on the termlab meter at an Audiodrag competition in quebec city. BTW, the regular CRX setup did 153.96 at quebec city DB Drag last week, in a fully legal Street B trim.
