2 amps 2 drivers ?

Ive got 2 kicker 1200.1 amps as well as 2 12" dual 4 ohm solo's should I one amp to each sub or what???????????

dont those amp make power at 1 ohm? so if he runs 1 amp to both subs at 1 ohm or or amp per sub at 2 ohm it will produce exact same ammount of power. so my answer is that it wont matter.

strap the amps together,than put them on the subs.that will be louder [img]graemlins/headbang.gif[/img]

They will do 1ohm strapped as well if anyone is interested.
We ran them like that last year in Lukes van.

any true mono block can be strapped, even pyramid quality gear.

Actually I will correct you, Yes there would be a differance. Even if those amp produce there max power into 1 ohm. If you ran them at 2 ohm each then yes you would have the same power as running 1 amp at 1 ohm but you will now have much more strenth in the power supply section and have more control over the driver.

I guess its just me tinted but I think control matters, so it does make a differance. [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img] [img]tongue.gif[/img]

^ But for a daily driver, 2 amps is gonna suck up more current, of of course extra wiring needed.
If you really want to use 2 amps, why not do what Rob said and strap them together at 1 ohm, I think that should be loud enough! [img]graemlins/jawdrop.gif[/img]
