Just wondering I want to get 2 MXA 8001d's and run them to my juggernaut but there is no way to strap them I've talked to SCL products and they told me the way to do it is get a crossover with a phase reversal feature and run the sub out from the deck to one amp then run the out from that amp to the in on the crossover with the phase shift active so the output is 180 degrees out of phase and run that output to the second amp .
He also said to make sure to set the gains using a multi meter .... which has to be done to the millivolt.
the positive speaker leads on the first amp would be wired as per usual. but on the second amp the positves would be run to the negatives on the sub .......
I have had 2 old school bd1000's on this sub before and did the whole multimeter thing to set the gains and within a week my sub had to be reconed.
is the way SCL told me to do this a safe way to go not only for comps but for daily driving to.
does any one have any suggestions on how to do it safely so i don't have to recone this big badass sub again

Bridging the amps just gave the sub too much juice... what are juggs rated at, 1200RMS ?
giving one 2KRMS for daily driving is a good way to fry it if you ask me....

Anyway... yup you can bridge amps in series that way... although I don't think it's a real big deal if you set the gains super accuratly or not...

No... worst case scenario is that one amp putts out slightly less power then the other... or one runs into distortion before the other...

On the other hand it can't hurt to set them accuratly, but I wouldn't loose any sleep over it....

trust me, from experence if one amp is out just a 32 of mV you'll cook your subs. I run 2 Xtant A3001 to one 10"alpine type R. Pay the money and get them level matched so that the outputs are the same. You can also starap them together and run one amp as the master and the other as the slave but why, now your losing voltage to your RCA. Bottom line level match your amps and run aline driver. Peace.

what is probably the easiest is to measure the actual ac output of the amps at the speaker using a test tone at a set volume. so that u can come close to perfectly maching the amps out put. after all that is what truly matters?! have fun!

Hey I hope all is well in your store. I will be in calgary next week(Tues/Wed)and will discuss this with you. Those amps strapped will be roughly 1800-2000 W. Have you got the amps yet
