Ive got a question for anyone who might know...

It seem commercially available woofers that were reconed with parts for a completly different company are OK... but what if you recone the woofer using custom made parts... like CF cones with commercially available spiders and voice coils ?

what about modifying the motor ? mass loading cones ? ect...

u see, the woofer doesnt have to be commercially available. but rather the parts that it's made from. now if u can go to walmart and buy all these custom parts u speak of then it should be fine. but if u have to place a special order or make it yourself then i'd say no.
