I say run one DD 9512 if you want a killer street class sub. Might need a little more power in the future to get all its potential. But for now 1000 watts will make it loud, just not stupid loud. LOL. I think DD makes the best subs for street use.

 

Ice: look for a local ID dealer... the IDmax is a pretty sweet sub, and should handle that amp, and get really loud.

There are 3 dealers in Canada. In Alberta you have FX Audio (edmonton), and Grand Car Audio (calgary), and another in Ontario (don't know the name sorry). The cheapest place in Alberta is Grand Car, by about 10%.
I have heard from a loud brown kicker colt that some ppl have given one sub upwards of 8000 watts rms. The sub is rated only at 1200 rms, but is a very conservitive rating. With about 2-3000rms you will be able to hit as high as 150 with the right box.

I think Grand Car quoted a person on this forum (spl donut) a price of $691 for a 9512. But I know he will beat any price. I think FX sells them from $700-$750. Don't hold me to that, but I would phone around.

For a good pair of subs to compete in Street A you should probably look at Kicker L7's.

i have a kicker L5 12 right now do u think i should just stick with that for a little while?
