Like I said if you run one DD9512 off the amp you have now you should be doing very good locally. Then in the future get a bigger amp, maybe something strappable. Remember your box is the critical point in spl. Trial and error.

Say you were to use a DD9512 sub, DD recommends 1.7-2.5 cu/ft. But it sounds like you want SPL so you might want to go with a smaller box. Smaller enclosures are easier to tune to high frequencies (better for spl), and have more of a peak in output at that tuning frequency. I have seen as little as 0.75 cu/ft for one 12" sub. If you go that small I suggest also building a sq box for daily driving, because a SPL box doesn't sound to good on music.

There are subs OTHER than the 95 series that people can use y'know.

You make it sound like he has to get a DD or he will be screwed. That's just not the case.

There a lot of other subs that are used for the street class with a lot of success. Not to mention the fact that they would be a lot cheaper.

Then why'd you buy DD Jordy?

Get a 3512 instead about half the price and only 1 db quieter.

Your right Jordy there are many other subs that would cut it. I personally think DD is the best. Everyone has their favorates. Also he has made it clear that he is willing to spend as much as a grand on a sub, so why not get something that is well known for setting records.
