american bass 500.1s
what is the lowest impedence that 2 of these amps have been wired to i can get them down to .25 each but i don't kno if that'll be safe for them or not, anybody got any idea?

I believe the lowest impedance is 1 ohm... any lower the amp clips

strapped the lowest you wanna go is 2 ohm after rise, not strapped 1 ohm after rise

Dustin Page (a westerner oh noes) was running his at .25 each, and claims the held up fine. He was also running them at .5 for daily.

yeah, mines running at .35 before rise and its going fine daily

he also had some protect issues using them that low. But im pretty sure he took care of it with more wires and such.

strong amp, but just like any other amp of its caliber one has to know how to use it, otherwise its pure head aches and no spl.

We tried them strapped at .5 before rise and they would go into protect right away. The lowest we got them to work was at .75 before rise strapped they held no problem. Dont go to crazy and wire them the wrong way if they catch fire i feel bad for u cause u will have nothin but paper weights have fun. Congrats on your new amps.

so american bass doesn't have the ability to repair amps or at least have an outside company that will repair for them??? Good to know as thats a pretty important thing to have imo
