That's a good question. I've asked the same thing on a couple of forums and people didn't really know.
I don't know about the other VFL amps, but most people will tell you that the 150.1s will put out somewhere around 2300wrms at 1 ohm on a 12V system. I've read a few claims of 2700-3000wrms at 0.7 ohms, but don't know how reliable those claims are. Probably high, but maybe not depending on the electrical.
What I do know is the 150.1s like to be loaded down on 16-18V, and that they can do 0.7 ohms daily on 12V. I've read a few claims of 3500-3700wrms on 18V (can't remember the load, but it's in the 0.25-0.35 ohm range).
Wish I could help you more. Once my 9515 recones come in I hope to get my two 150.1s clamped. That probably won't be until next spring though.
Hopefully someone else chimes in, because I'd like to know as well.

above poster is right. the 150.1 should do 2300-2600 watts on a 12 volt system. The 700.1 will put out a little more at 12 volts but it will draw a lot of current to do it as it is built for 16+ volt systems. I would look at the 400.1 or the 500.1 (500.1 puts out an insane amount of power!at 12 volts, ive tested it myself)if you are going to be competing in SPL. if you are going to just daiy then the 150.1 will be best.

and yes the 150.1 is rated by american bass at 150 watts

@ 12 volts (one battery, car off) the 150.1's do less than that, around 1500-1800

150.1 will do more then 15XX watts trust me. it just needs to get loaded down. It want to see a final load of .6 to .7 ohm. Trust me I know my American Bass amps.

and Smartass - that is Usaci ratings. all amps and I mean ALL amps do more power then Usaci ratings!

Anyone care to ballpark what the 400.1 will do on a 12V system?

i really doubt 150.1 breaks 2000 mark. more like 1800 tops on a 12v with a single batt, thats what the properly done tests show. 0.7 ohm?? k u dont know the amp. try 0.35 thats where the power is at on that thing.

400.1 ummmmmmmmm ask Lessy he has a pair

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Dom Iraggi use those ratings because they put the amp within 30% of it's true output for USACi?
So in theory it could be anywhere between 1100 and 2030wrms

I'm curious to see what the 400.1s can do on 12V. If one will do more than 2 150.1s, maybe that's the direction I should head.
