amp choices

hey im looking for an amp for the gf's car... she wants to compete in street stock so im still unsure of what we are able to use... so far we are deciding between a bassworx 1200.1 clarions new 1500 watter... earthquakes phd2000/1 price is an issue so the cheaper the better.... but those are a couple ideas for now any opinions? which would be better?

look into the powerbass asa1500d or maybe a crossfire 1000d... even an older Mmats dhc1400.1 was an awsome amp in that power range

they all should be capable of producing around 1500-1700 watts when loaded down properly and have the right current supply
