We did a few tests in our comp car now keep in mind we had 17volt system.

The test

1 Beyond audio 18'' Inuman wired to 1.1ohm Aluminium
2 GNB 8volt wired to 16volt resting voltage 17volts

RE 35.1
We got 63 volts out of this one, we found it need alot of input voltage!

Visonik V900XD
70volts out of this one also liked alot of input voltage

EarthQuake D2 Fully Modded
80volts out of this guy, not as much input voltage as the others, when hooked up and just sitting there the tranistors made the loudest humming and buzzing noise I have ever heard from an amp, you can tell it's either going to put out some serious numbers or JUST BLOW UP either way not bad.
Also when burped the voltage spiked and dropped from 85 to 79 volts on each burp so after about .5 seconds the amp does not push full power, which I think is bad for these new mics.

Fusion JL1211D
93 volts out to place first place, you could notice each amp getting louder this one was easily the loudest for the RE to the Fusion it's like night and day. The fusion was modded to run at 1ohm and not shut down at 16.1volts everythign else was stock. Awsome amps also dampening factor is above 200 which is great for a Class D, we noticed the coils did not heat up as much and were more controlled with this amp.

Holy mother of god...

I was only interested in the visonik, since I have one...

But if the amp was really seeing 1.1ohms you would be looking at almost 4.5kw out of an amp rated for 1.5kw... hmm.. 3X rated output!!

All you visonik/MA haters can suck my ballz now...

But before I get too ****y, I should ask if you know the actual impedance of the sub at test frequency?

a 1.1ohm reactive load is probobly gonna rise to like 2ohms in the box (maybe higher)...now consider that these voltage are peak not rms that would put the visonik at closer to 1225wrms.
either way those fusions are power houses...that'd be like 2161wrms (if you use a rise to 2ohms which is probobly optimistic)
of course if you had an amp clamp these results would actually be able to yeild proper rms power results rather then estimates

How much input voltage did you run to the re 35.1d's. I have a pair, but dont want to fry them with my line driver.

like shocking said the numbers that were posted were at 1.1, Now also like he said you need to figure the reactive load will be about 2-2.3 ohm. Now do the same math you just did and then you will see a more acurate estimate of what the visonik and the others will do. Again like Shocking said that is without measuring the amperage out which would give you a true reading.
In any case we are very impressed with the fusion.

OK... if DC resistance was 1.1ohms then the impedance could be anywhere from 1.1 up.... it could be 20++ ohms at tuning...

why not set up a bridge and find out lauf ?

Anyway... I've never seen a DMM that wasn't calibrated for RMS #'s with sine... but what did you actuially use ???

(I think those are still RMS #'s... )

What about testing some Arc Audio or Autotek amps?

a viper will beat all those amps. I sold them so I can't really test em anymore but they will do 3100wrms at 17volts. as I recall the measurement is like 113volts at 1ohm. If the fusions can be strapped though then a strapped fusion would beat the viper
